Why Davis is a Bicycle Friendly City

All cities have something unique about themselves, and Davis has its love affair with bicycles. Davis is one of the most progressive cities in the country when it comes to incorporating bicycles as part of the overall fabric of the community. To learn more about it, click here.

Davis Pedicab — One of a Kind

It makes sense in one of the country’s greatest bicycling communities: a pedal-driven taxi service to get you around town. That’s Davis Pedicab, whose mission is to help people get where they’re going with something less of a carbon footprint.

Every rider is trained and holds a City of Davis license to operate the pedicabs, which somewhat resemble rickshaws and can carry one to three people. They operate primarily around the Downtown and the UCD Campus. The cost? That’s negotiable, generally based on what the riders think is fair.

The cabs run Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7pm to 3am, Fridays noon to 3am, Saturdays 11am to 3am, and Sundays 2pm to 10pm. Call (530) 771-7405 for a ride, or just look for one passing by and hail it down. To learn more, click here. And for a video view of the service from iseedavis.com, click here.
